All users are required to use a second method of authentication when signing in to Kount 360. Email authentication is the default Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) option. When you sign in for the first time, you will receive a one-time prompt to configure other authentication methods — like Google Authenticator or Okta Verify.
Note
When signing in, if you need to exit the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) process and return to the sign-in page, you can select Back to Log In.
If you skip the one-time prompt, you can always set up additional security methods. Refer to Configuring Additional Authentication Methods.
When you first sign in to your account, email verification is enabled by default.
To sign in using email verification:

Go to the Kount 360 sign-in page.

Enter your email, then select Next.

Enter your password, then select Enter.
Note
During your first sign-in attempt, you are prompted to set up additional verification methods. You can set up additional methods or select Continue to proceed with email verification. You can always configure additional methods after signing in.

Select Send me an email.

Open the email from noreply@kount.com.
Note
If you do not receive an email, check your spam folder and the email address you entered. If you still have not received the email, select Send again on the sign-in page.

In the verification email, select Sign In. You are then signed-in and redirected to Kount 360. You must open the link from the same device you used to send the authentication.
Note
Optionally, if you cannot use the verification link, you can select Enter a verification code instead on the sign-in page, enter the code provided in the verification email, and select Enter. The verification link and code expire after five minutes.
You can configure additional authentication/security methods at any time. The general instructions for finding and configuring additional methods are:

Sign in to the Kount 360 Okta portal.

Select your user profile, then Settings.
-
Select Set Up next to the method of your choice. A verify password screen displays.

Enter your password.
You are prompted to use a second method to authenticate. Email is the default authentication method.

Select Verify with something else to use a different method.

Follow the prompts to set up your additional method.
For specific instructions on how to configure additional authentication methods, refer to the following:
You must have the Google Authenticator app downloaded on a mobile device to configure this authentication method. The app is free to download from your app store.

Sign in to the Kount 360 Okta portal.

Select the user menu and then Settings.

For Google Authenticator, select Set Up.

Open Google Authenticator on your mobile device.

Scan the QR code displayed on the setup screen with Google Authenticator.

Once the QR code is scanned, this authentication method is linked to your account and you are returned to the Kount 360 Okta portal.
You must have the Okta Verify app downloaded on a mobile device to configure this authentication method. The app is free to download from your app store.
To configure this authentication method:

Sign in to the Kount 360 Okta portal.

Select the user menu, then Settings.

For Okta Verify, select Set Up.
A verify password screen displays.

You are prompted to use a second method to authenticate. Email is the default authentication method.

Select Verify with something else to use a different method. Once authenticated, the set-up page displays.

Open Okta Verify and follow the instructions to add your account.

When prompted in the Okta Verify app, select Scan a QR code, then scan the QR code displayed on the setup screen.
Once the QR code is scanned, this authentication method is linked to your account and you are returned to the Kount 360 Okta portal.
Authenticating with a security key or biometric authentication can be used to configure passwordless authentication methods using Windows Hello, Touch ID, Face ID, and others. You must have access to these apps on your device in order to be able to use them.
To configure this authentication method:

Sign in to the Kount 360 Okta portal.

Select the user menu, then Settings.

For Security Key or Biometric Authenticator, select Set Up.
A verify password screen displays.

Enter your password.
You are prompted to use a second method to authenticate. Email is the default authentication method.

Select Verify with something else to use a different method.

On the Set up security methods prompt, select Set up.

On the Set up security key or biometric authenticator prompt, select Set up.
A window displays asking you to create a security key or biometric authenticator.

Select Continue.

Follow the on-screen prompts to configure your security key or biometric authenticator for your device.
Note
These steps might vary depending on your operating system and device.

After configuration, you are returned to the Kount 360 Okta portal.
