Rapid Dispute Resolution is a dispute resolution tool owned by Visa in collaboration with Verifi. Rapid Dispute Resolution helps you prevent chargebacks at the pre-dispute stage by automatically debiting your account and refunding the customer depending on a specified ruleset. No alert is triggered when a dispute is resolved with Rapid Dispute Resolution, and resolved disputes do not count against your chargeback ratio.
Rapid Dispute Resolution is intended to be used with Visa CDRN Alerts, which is a prevention alert service.
Rapid Dispute Resolution and prevention alerts are chargeback prevention tools you can use to reduce chargebacks. There are noticeable differences between the two tools:
-
Rapid Dispute Resolution allows your acquirer to automatically refund disputes on your behalf based on a ruleset you define. You do not need to respond to a dispute, as the issuer initiates the refund and is already notified of the resolution. Disputes resolved with Rapid Dispute Resolution won’t advance to chargebacks. If the dispute does not qualify for an automatic refund, it might advance to a chargeback.
-
Prevention alerts, such as CDRN Alerts and Ethoca Alerts, allow you to review the dispute before taking action. You choose how to handle the dispute then notify the issuer what action was taken. There is no guarantee a refunded dispute will prevent a chargeback.
Subscribing to Rapid Dispute Resolution, CDRN Alerts, and Ethoca Alerts provides you with efficient and comprehensive chargeback prevention.
The Rapid Dispute Resolution Cases table is view-only, meaning there is no action required. All information for your Rapid Dispute Resolution cases is displayed in the table.
