Kount Control prevents logins, detects bot activity, and challenges login activity with multi-factor authentication (MFA). Kount Control has a central dashboard for customers to use to manage reports. This article details how to navigate and interact with the Kount Control Dashboard.
When you log in to Control, in the dashboard, you can select from the following options:
- Logins
- Failed Attempts
- Exports
- New Account Opening
Logins
The Logins page shows volume of all login events for the past 90 days and the attributes of successful logins for the past seven days. From the Logins Report page, you can view the following:
Login Activity by Day
This chart shows the volume of daily logins for the Event Day and Current Hour. This chart can be filtered by Event Day and Hour of Current Hour.
Current Allow Activity
This chart shows the Current Allows and the Average Allows for the accumulated data. This chart can be filtered by the Event Day and Hour of Current Hour.
Trusted Device Matches
This chart shows the amount of trusted device matches over a specified amount time.
Logins by Country
This map shows the number and locations of logins by country.
Top Logins by Username
This table shows the number of logins (allowed, challenged, and total) per unique username.
Top Logins by IP Address
This table shows the number of logins (allowed, challenged, and total) per unique IP address.
Decisions by Policy
This table shows the number of decisions by policy. You can sort by Rule Name and Rule Decision.
Decisions by Segment
This table provides the number of decisions per unique segments. The table can be sorted by Usersegment and Decision.
Failed Attempts
The Failed Attempts page shows the volume of failed attempts for the past 90 days and the attributes of failed attempts for the past seven days. From the Failed Attempts Report page you can view the following:
Total Failed Attempts by Day
Similar to the Login Attempts chart from the Logins section, this chart shows the number and percentage of failed attempts by day over a user-specified amount of time.
Failed Logins by Hour for Event Days
This chart shows the number of failed logins by hour during event days over a user-specified amount of time.
Failed Attempts
This is a pie circular chart visualizing the data from the Failed Attempts by Organization table.
Failed Attempts by Organization
This table shows data (Hosting Solution (true or false), Failed Attempts, Percent No Account, Distinct IPs, Distinct Users, and Distinct Users per IP) for each organization. The table can be sorted by organization.
Failed Attempts by IP
This table shows the number and percentage of failed attempts per IP address.
Failed Attempts by Region
This tables shows the number of failed attempts and the percentage of no account used by region.
Exports
The Export Dashboard consists of visualizations and reports that can be used as a starting point to create quick customizations in Explore Mode.
There are two tabs within the dashboard:
- Login and Events
- Login and Trusted Devices
Login and Events
Customizable Chart
In the Login and Events section, a bar chart visualization shows logins, failed attempts, and challenge outcomes by week. This report can be modified in Explore Mode. Elements of the visualization that can be modified include:
- Visualization type (bar, line, pie, scatter, etc.)
- Data in the report (data on the X or Y axis)
- Aggregation type (count, count distinct, sum etc.)
- Date rollup (hour, day, week, etc.)
- Formatting (color, labels, legend, etc.)
- Filtering
Customizable Pivot Table
In the Login and Events section, a pivot table shows the number of logins, failed attempts, and challenge outcomes by week. Elements of the pivot table that can be modified include:
- Data in the report (pivot rows and pivot columns)
- Aggregation data (the field to be aggregated as well as the aggregation method)
- Sort order
- Filtering
Master Table
In the Login and Events section, a tabular report shows logins, failed attempts, and challenge outcome details. This report can be modified in Explore Mode. Changes to this report are reflected in the chart visualization.
Example: Filters applied to this report are reflected in the chart visualizations.
Elements of the table that can be modified include:
- Grouping by a column and creating aggregations
- Adding columns
- Sort order
- Filtering
Trusted Device
Customizable Chart

New Account Opening
The New Account Opening dashboard displays a report of all newly created accounts and their corresponding data sets like Client ID and Event Type.
