The View Breakdown feature shows all the individual chargeback cases that make up the data in the Variable Analytics charts.
This feature allows you to drill down into your data, achieve greater transparency, and create more effective management strategies.
Each Variable Analytics chart has a View Breakdown drawer. You can access this feature in one of two ways.
First, you can click on the View Breakdown button in the upper right corner of the Analytics page. From there, you can select the variable to analyze.
Alternately, you can click on any section of a Variable Analytics chart and the drawer will open. The data in the View Breakdown feature will show the chart you selected, along with a report of specific cases for the element you clicked. For example, all the chargebacks filed by US customers.
This Breakdown has two different data analysis components: a chart and a report. Each component has additional features.
Hover over any portion of the chart and a popup box will display greater details, including things like transaction count, chargeback count, chargeback-to-transaction ratio, etc.
All of the columns in the View Breakdown report can be sorted in ascending or descending order. Click the arrows to sort the data.
The View Breakdown report has a search feature. Enter any value you want to find. You can search your entire report or specifically focus on one characteristic--like a chargeback case ID or reason code.
The default setting for your View Breakdown feature is to show data for your entire portfolio. However, you have the ability to filter your data and break it down by different sources. For example, maybe you want to view data for a particular merchant account or processor.
-
Go to the Analytics page. Select the Variable Analytics chart you want to monitor (Country, Price Point, etc.)
-
Click Entire Portfolio to add a filter (MID, Processor, etc.).
-
In the second dropdown list, select specific processors or merchant accounts to analyze.
-
Click on any section of the chart and the View Breakdown drawer will open.
The data displayed in your charts is limited to activity that took place during the time you specified in the Date Range Selector. If you update the date range, the data will adjust.
The default time frame for the Date Range Selector is This Month (month-to-date activity). If you’d like to analyze data during a different time frame, click the date in the upper right corner of any page. How Do I Change the Date Range For My Reports and Charts? explains how to customize your date ranges.
