When creating or editing policy, you can add a tag to it. When a policy is evaluated, the corresponding tag is returned in the API response. You can also assign weights to tags, allowing more flexibility for risk assessment and prioritization.
Tag weights can be assigned different levels of importance to varying risks. Each tag has a unique weight within a specific policy, and you can add the same tag to multiple policies with different weights. Tag weights can be a positive or negative integer ranging from -1000 to 1000.
Note
You cannot create a policy that has both tag weights and the Tag Evaluation Score condition.
Tag weights are evaluated as follows:
-
Each policy — except the one with the Tag Evaluation Score — is evaluated in the segment. The Associated tags and their weights are returned.
-
After all policies are evaluated, the system aggregates the weight for the same tags returned from the different policies.
-
If a policy includes a condition based on the aggregated score, it is evaluated at the end to make a final decision.
Tags can be added to policies and segments, but weights can only be added to tags when associated with a policy.
