Command integrates with Ekata, a global identity verification data service provider. The Ekata Identity Engine™ powers the Ekata API that provides additional data points in the Command Agent Web Console (AWC). The Ekata Identity Engine validates Personal Identifiable Information (PII or Identity Elements) and analyzes how they behave in digital interactions.
Once integrated, customers can access the Ekata gadget on the Transaction Details page in the AWC. Our customers who are looking for additional information to verify order information can utilize the Ekata data outputs and integrated rules-based API. The single-service validates key data points:
-
Email Address
-
Phone Number
-
IP Address
-
Physical Address
These data points can be used in our real-time Auto Decision Engine (ADE), Auto Agent (AA), and for manual review.
Ekata is integrated into two major components of Command: Transaction Details and Rules Engine. Ekata data is visible in the following locations:
-
Order Details gadget for quick review of available information
-
Ekata details view
-
Display rules triggered related to Ekata
-
Deep linking available
-
Automated real-time API call to Ekata
-
Select all orders or filter for individual orders based on over 300 data elements
-
Auto Agent callout for use cases that do not require instant results
-
Feed data into case management system
-
Create complex scorecards
Ekata checks return many different categories of response data for both North American (U.S. and Canada) and international identity checks, including:
-
Ekata Phone Check Responses
-
Ekata Billing and Shipping Address Check Responses
-
Ekata IP Address Check Responses
-
Ekata Email Address Check Responses
Once integrated, the Ekata gadget displays on the Transaction Details page.
Data is identifiable via three status types: pass, warning, and neutral.
-
Data rules that are examined and demonstrate no issues are marked with the pass icon, a check inside a green circle.
-
Data rules that are examined and demonstrate a potential problem are marked with a warning icon, an exclamation point inside a yellow triangle.
-
Any rules examined that return no icon indicate that information is not available for the given data type or that the examination did not yield information that warrants a pass or warning.
Select more data in the Ekata gadget for additional information.
Rules can be written in both the Real-Time Rules Engine and the Auto Agent Rules Engine using Ekata data. If a rule involving Ekata has been written and triggered, that information displays in the Rules Triggered gadget on the Transaction Details page.
Ekata receives inputs for the billing and shipping name, address, and phone, then returns a different set of outputs depending on if the data is from North America or is International.
In North America, the focus is on matching data elements to a consumer identity. The identity coverage is for phones, emails, and addresses in the United States and Canada.

Ekata returns data for over 160 different countries worldwide. The focus is on providing a broad and consistent response for almost every country worldwide. The Ekata integration validates phones and addresses and returns rich intelligence on the email and IP address associated with a transaction. The international offering is primarily used to push risky orders into the manual review queue by looking at strong risk signals like invalid phones and addresses. But it can also be used to write rules for the Auto Decision Engine (ADE) and Auto Agent (AA).

The Identity Check Score and Identity Network Score provide a snapshot into how risky a transaction might be, according to the Ekata five-in-one identity verification process.
The Identity Check Score ranges from 0-500. 0 is the least risky and 500 is the most risky. The Identity Network Score ranges from 0-1, 0 being the least risky and 1 being the most risky. Identity risk score responses are generated and continuously optimized by the Ekata Identity Engine that leverages millions of transactional patterns across the Ekata network. The responses are also generated by the 5B global links connecting names, phones, addresses, email, and IP data.
Note
Identity risk score responses are generated for all domestic transactions. They display as No Score Available for transactions with international addresses.
A high callouts alert means we identified an unusual surge in Ekata usage within your merchant account. If this is unexpected behavior, contact your Customer Success Manager.
To view your current and previous Ekata usage rates, create a report in Datamart where the true column indicates that an Ekata callout was initiated.
Note
Ekata callouts are controlled by the Rules Engine, which allows you to use Ekata on all orders or selectively based on over 300 data elements. For more information on managing Rules in the AWC, refer to the How to Manage Rules in the Agent Web Console.
