Dates play an important role in the chargeback portal's functionality. Date ranges are used as a global filter to sort and analyze information.
The data displayed in your reports and charts is limited to activity that took place during the time you specified in the Date Range Selector. If you update the date range, the data will adjust.
The default time frame for the Date Range Selector is This Month. If you’d like to analyze data during a different time frame, click the date in the upper right corner of any page.
Clicking the current date selection will expose a drop down menu of filter options.
You can make a selection using one of the following quick-click options:
Or, you can create a Custom Range for the date filter. Choose the From date and To date on the calendar, then select Apply.
The time frame you select will be used as a universal filter on all the pages, reports, and charts in the chargeback portal. It will remain active until you select a new date range; you don’t need to update it when visiting a different page.
The only time you will need to reset the Date Range Selector is when you start a new session in the chargeback portal. The default time frame for all new sessions is This Month.
The Date Range Selector allows you to review two very important types of data: real-time data and historical data.
Real-time data helps you understand what is happening with your business at any given moment. This helps ensure there are no surprises!
Historical data helps you detect trends, anticipate future activity, and take preemptive action to reduce risk. It also helps you identify areas of improvement to increase profitability.
To get the best results possible, it is important to monitor both types of data — and the Date Range Selector feature in the chargeback portal makes that easy to do.
