The Policies Outcome report provides a detailed breakdown of all risk policies that evaluated as "True" during a transaction. It aggregates order volumes and outcomes driven by specific policies and custom tags. This allows you to evaluate which specific policy sets are triggering the most, enabling precise tuning of fraud strategies, the reduction of false positives, and clear visibility into automated decision drivers.
To access the report, sign in to Kount 360 and go to Analytics > Folders > Payments Fraud Reports > Policies Outcome.
Users can view data corresponding to their assigned organizational hierarchy and role-based access permissions. Fraud analysts in child organizations are restricted to viewing data for their specific entity, while parent organization users can view aggregated portfolio metrics or select individual child organizations.
Fraud analysts and payments teams can leverage this dashboard to monitor and respond to several critical scenarios:
-
Policy set performance evaluation: Identify which specific policies are driving the highest volume of declines or reviews to ensure they are functioning as intended.
-
Tag-based risk analysis: Monitor custom policy tags to track specific fraud campaigns, business rules, or test scenarios in real time.
-
Channel-specific policy impact: Evaluate how policy sets perform across different sales channels to identify unique risk profiles per channel.
-
Omniscore alignment: Compare policy outcomes against Omniscore bands to see if custom policy sets are aligning with the platform's machine-learning risk assessments.
You can refine the data using the following global filters:
-
Timezone: Adjusts the timezone of the report data (for example, UTC).
-
Event Timestamp: Defines the reporting window; the default setting is two weeks including the current week.
-
Auth Result: Filters the report by the downstream bank authorization outcome (for example, Approved, Declined, null).
-
Policies Outcome: Filters the dataset by the specific outcome of the policy evaluation (Review, Decline, No Change).
-
Policy Name: Refines data based on Policy Names that have been used by the customer.
-
Unique Policy: Filters to show data where only one unique policy ran on the orders.
