As we move into the next quarter, we’re excited to share a summary of the powerful new features we delivered in the First Quarter, as well as an exclusive look at what we’re building for you in the Second Quarter. Our latest enhancements provide greater flexibility, deeper insights, and highly precise fraud prevention tools tailored to your workflows.
To dive deeper into the full details of our First Quarter releases, check out our monthly release notes:
Here’s a breakdown of our recent accomplishments and upcoming releases by product:
Signal Score for Email: We have launched a high-fidelity intelligence tool that delivers real-time clarity into the risk and authenticity of any email address. By tapping into Equifax's expansive network of historical data and deep domain reputation insights, a single API call now returns a comprehensive, actionable trust profile. This powerful new capability empowers you to instantly identify genuine users, confidently streamline the customer journey, and proactively mitigate fraud before it enters your ecosystem.
What we accomplished in the First Quarter:
-
Omniscore Retrain: We've upgraded the model and infrastructure, resulting in improved general fraud capture and chargeback detection for increased accuracy.
-
Testing in Policy Management: We’ve enhanced your policy creation process with the ability to test new or existing sets against your historical order data.
-
Custom Roles: The Custom Roles feature allows Organization Owners to create tailored roles with specific permissions that align with their organization's unique workflows.
-
Orders API Update: We’ve updated the Orders APIs with new parameters. The POST, PATCH, and GET endpoints now function with both Payments Fraud and Chargeback Management.
-
Cross-Org Reporting: We’ve added a new cross-org reporting feature to Kount 360 Payments Fraud. Partners can now run reports on their customers' data, both individually and as an aggregate of the whole, in compliance with existing agreements and data governance policies.
What we’re working on in the Second Quarter:
Tag Archiving and Version Linked Restoration: Clean up your Policy Management environment by archiving unused tags that remain dormant until a version rollback triggers their restoration.
What we accomplished in the First Quarter:
-
Comprehensive List Management: We’ve added a new List Management feature that lets you add order values to existing lists on the Details page in Case Management or Event Analysis. This helps you view list status and add or remove entries from one location.
-
Custom Fields Enhancements: We’ve released new Custom Fields List policy conditions that allow you to check if the value of a custom field is in a specific list. We also integrated custom fields into tables, so you can seamlessly add, sort, and filter unique merchant metadata directly in your core analysis tables.
-
Improved Persona Velocity Data: We’ve improved our Persona velocity features to provide improvements for the next model. Customers with policies based around these features are expected to see improvements in accuracy.
-
Orders API: We’ve bridged the gap between Payments Fraud and Chargeback Management by establishing a single source of truth for order data, providing a unified view of the entire customer journey.
What we’re working on in the Second Quarter:
-
Auto Reason Code Assignment via the Policy Management: Automatically attach custom Reason Codes to orders when they trigger configured rules.
-
Add to List Automation for Reversals (Chargebacks, Refunds, and Fraud Reports): Automatically identify risky data points from incoming chargebacks, refunds, or fraud reports and route them to blocklists.
-
Auto Add to Lists from Policy Management (Payments Fraud only): Dynamically build and maintain lists by automatically adding properties to designated lists when specific policy conditions are met.
What we accomplished in the First Quarter:
-
Dispute and Chargeback Management in Kount 360: We successfully integrated Dispute and Chargeback Management into Kount 360, now called Chargeback Management. You can manage disputes in a centralized platform, while also leveraging the Orders API to proactively prevent chargebacks with greater efficiency. Refer to Orders API: Best Practices to get the most out of this integration.
-
Prevention Alerts UI Updates: We’ve updated the user interface to improve the workflow when resolving Verifi and Ethoca alerts. The Prevention Alerts table now has three tabs: Unresolved, Completed, and All.
-
Webhooks: We’ve fully integrated Webhooks for Chargeback Management into the Kount 360 Platform Service.
What we’re working on in the Second Quarter:
-
Alerts Expiration: Clear visibility into when an alert is due to expire to ensure prompt resolution and compliance.
-
VAMP Calculator: Add a new calculator to provide crucial visibility into potential Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program (VAMP) risks.
-
Order Validation Enhancements: We’ve simplified our validation tables to give you a cleaner, more intuitive experience. You will be able to see exactly why an order was unsuccessful, with clear visibility into the specific issues that blocked a transaction.
-
Faster Alert Management: We’re standardizing how alerts are handled across all providers. This allows you to resolve multiple alerts at once (bulk resolution) and enjoy a faster, more reliable experience when using our API.
What we accomplished in the First Quarter:
-
Custom Event Types and UI Labeling: We’ve added the ability to create custom event (transfer) types as an option. We also added labeling for the user interface to improve the handling of operational statuses, investigative outcomes, and fraud subtypes, alongside a remove option for these values.
-
Validation and State-Handling: We’ve introduced stricter validation and state-handling rules to Authorized Payment Protection. Certain combinations of states that were incorrect are now rejected.
What we accomplished in the First Quarter:
-
Updated Account Creation Score: We’ve refreshed the Account Creation Score model to improve overall accuracy.
-
New Account Opening API Update: The accountCreationSafetyAssessment object has been added to the New Account Opening API response. This provides more transparency by including a numerical Safety Assessment, ranging from 0.1 to 99.9, alongside the specific risk factors that influenced the score.
What we’re working on in the Second Quarter:
-
Personalized Views in Event Analysis: Select exact data columns, reorder them, and save custom layouts.
-
List Automation for Policy Evaluations: Automatically update custom lists based on specific policy outcomes. This is currently available for Payments Fraud customers.
What we accomplished in the First Quarter:
-
Document Verification as Step-up: We’ve integrated standalone Document Verification into risk-based workflows as a high-assurance "step-up" method.
-
Knowledge-based authentication (KBA) Multiple Configurations and Anytime Step-up: We’ve evolved KBA into a scalable framework and introduced a new "Hold" state that pauses automated workflows when step-up is required.
-
Synthetic ID Integration: We’ve incorporated SyntheticID checks directly into Identity Proofing orchestration.
