The Persona service is a Graph Clustering Engine that builds clusters of connected Personally Identifiable Information (PII). The cluster of PII is called the Persona Data and is used in machine learning models to provide several helpful statistics. You can use this information to expose trends and determine if an order is fraudulent or to identify attacks happening across multiple orders.
Payments Fraud provides multiple Persona datasets including the Kount Network and Merchant-Specific. The Kount Network and Merchant-Specific data is found in the Persona Data tile on the Order Details or Case Details pages.
The Kount Network includes network-wide data for:
-
Associated Payment Methods — The number of payment methods associated with this Persona in the 14 days before the order.
-
Associated Emails — The number of email addresses associated with this Persona in the 14 days before the order.
-
Associated Devices — The number of devices associated with this Persona in the 14 days before the order.
This includes merchant-specific data for the:
-
Riskiest Country — The riskiest location identified in the Persona cluster. This can include billing, shipping, or device location. The score is aggregated from customer-provided data.
-
Total Bank-Approved Orders — The sum of all approved orders authorized by the issuing bank in the 14 days before the order.
-
Total Bank-Declined Orders — The sum of all orders declined by the issuing bank in the 14 days before the order.
-
Max Velocity — The velocity of the floating six-hour period in the 14 days before the event when the most approved and declined orders occurred.
