The burden of maintaining an updated privacy policy rests with the customer, as stated in Kount's customer contracts. For customers who are having difficulty defining a policy, we recommend consulting with an attorney.
As it relates to current customers in Europe, their privacy policies have been modified to include stipulations to allow the customer to use personally identifiable data to prevent malicious activity or fraudulent type transactions. Kount's EU customers modify their privacy policies to contain language that states that they will use end customers' data as part of their order management processes.
