FAQ: What is the Difference between API and ENS

Event Notification Service (ENS) provides merchants the ability to receive automated updates on orders from Kount based with or without direct action in the Agent Web Console (AWC). When enabled, notifications from Kount are sent to a URL hosted by you as a series of events formatted in XML. Refer to ENS Facts for additional information.

Application Programming Interface (API) allows you to programmatically interact with Kount “under the hood” so to speak. APIs allow you to send information to Kount, such as adding a large number of email addresses to a VIP list, and receive a response stating if your change was successfully accomplished.
