Kount Complete 7.0.0 release notes for Merchants. In this release, Kount provides two related optional feature sets, a billing enhancement, and making generally available a feature that was previously released in Beta.
The enhanced Agent Web Console security features allow AWC users with access to more than one AWC instance (i.e. Account Managers), Multi-factor Authentication restrictions and/or IP and Region Login Whitelist restrictions are defined by the user’s default account.
Improving Unique API Key Support for Whitepages Pro
The Whitepages Pro third-party application requires separate and unique API keys for both direct and indirect merchants to be billed for services. Now merchants who have a pre-existing relationship with Whitepages can use the feature in the AWC and be billed by Whitepages.
Enhanced Security Using Multi-factor Authentication
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an optional security feature in the Agent Web Console (AWC) using third-party provider Duo. Once a Duo account is created and the AWC is configured by an Admin user, the specific user must login both with their username and password and then, once prompted, using the Duo app on their mobile. Only after both authentication methods are employed will the user have access to the AWC.
To enable MFA, the user must first create a Duo account. Then, the AWC must be configured using the Integration Key, Secret Key, and API hostname provided by Duo.
For the best experience, we recommend that users download the free Duo mobile app onto their smartphone, although Duo also supports the use of tablets, landlines, and U2F token compatible browsers.
Multi-factor authentication is an optional service and merchants must request activation of this system in the AWC from their Client Success Manager.
Enhanced Security Using IP and Region Login Whitelists
IP and Region Login Whitelisting is an optional security feature in the AWC. Once enabled and configured, users can only login if their IP address matches the one set up in the AWC, or if their IP matches the configured IP address range for their country.
IP and Region whitelists have three separate configurations:
-
IP Address Whitelist
-
IP Address Range Whitelist
-
IP Country Whitelist
Each section can be activated or deactivated independently of one another.
IP and Region Whitelist is an optional feature and merchants must request activation of this system from their Client Success Manager.
Whitepages Pro Integration Generally Available
Kount customers can now take advantage of the newly released integration with Whitepages Pro. Whitepages Pro offers global identity verification data and tools to help companies identify legitimate customers and get good orders out the door faster.
With a single Identity Check query, Kount clients can conduct up to 5 different searches across 5 billion global contact records in the Whitepages Identity Graph, where 1 million new linkages between people, addresses, emails, phones, and IPs are created daily. Combine this data with Kount’s real-time fraud detection and you’ll have access to a larger and more powerful identity verification network to use for rule-building and manual review.
The Whitepages Pro feature was released on a limited basis as a beta in October 2016 and is now generally available to all Kount merchants.
