Duplicate alerts happen when a merchant receives multiple pre-dispute notifications for the same transaction. This can occur if a customer's issuing bank accidentally triggers the same alert twice.
You can view duplicate alerts in the Prevention Alerts table in Chargeback Management. They display on the Completed and All tabs with Duplicate Alert in the Resolution column.
Duplicate alerts are considered non-billable events, which means that you are not billed twice for the same dispute. Non-billable event displays when you hover over the information icon in the Resolution column.
Being able to view duplicate alerts allows you to:
-
View analytics and reporting, enabling you to conduct analysis on duplicate alerts.
-
Reconcile invoices by clearly displaying which alerts are not billed.
