If Global Search returns results that you do not expect, review the following causes and solutions.

|
The results include addresses that are similar to, but not the same as, the search term. |
Fuzzy matching accepts small spelling differences in the address fields. |
Enter a more distinctive word, or use the address column filter. See How fuzzy matching works for addresses. |
|
A postal code or street number returns nearby numbers. |
Fuzzy matching treats numbers in an address as words. A number that is one digit different can match. |
Add other address words, such as the street name or city. |
|
The results include transactions where the search term is in a different field than you expected. |
Global Search compares the search term with every searchable field. A transaction matches if any field matches. |
Check the highlighted value to see which field matched. Use a column filter to restrict the results to one field. |
|
A 4-digit search term returns many cards. |
A value without a hyphen matches the BIN or the last 4 digits of any card. |
Enter the BIN and last 4 digits in the format BIN-last4. |
|
The results are not in the expected order. |
The default sort order shows the most recent transactions first. A sort order that you set on a column replaces the default. |
Set the sort order that you want on the column. |
|
Fewer results than expected are shown on a page. |
A page with fewer results than the page size is the last page of results. |
No action is required. All results are shown. |
|
The transaction details page opens instead of the results table. |
Only one transaction matches the search term. |
No action is required. A single result opens the transaction details page. |
