Global Search results show every order that matches your search term and all active column filters. You can filter, sort, and page through the results.
-
When one order matches, the Order Details page opens instead of the Results table.
-
When two or more orders match, the Results table opens. The values that match the search term are highlighted. In some cases, the matched search term is on a hidden field and there is not a highlighted value in the result.
-
Search results remain in view until you clear the search. Refer to How to clear a Global Search.
Note
An order can match in a field that you did not expect. For example, the search term bus does not match the customer name Business Name, but it matches the email address business.name@example.com. The highlight shows which field matched.
If you do not set a sort order, the most recent orders are shown first. When you set a sort order on a column, your sort order replaces the default sort order.
Sorting changes only the order of the results. Sorting does not change which orders are included.
Column filters and the search term work together. A transaction is included in the results only when it matches the search term and meets every active column filter. Column filters narrow the set of orders, and the search term determines which orders in that set match.
Note
Column filters remain active until you clear them. A column filter from a previous search can hide orders that match your current search term.
Global Search shows results one page at a time. Use the pagination controls to move between pages. You can show 10, 20, 50, or 100 results on each page.
-
A full page indicates that more results are available on the next page.
-
A page with fewer results than the page size is the last page of results.
-
The total result count is exact. It is not an estimate.
