Global Search limitations and known behaviors

Payments Fraud data only

Global Search returns Payments Fraud orders only. Data for other solutions is not included.

Search data from the tables in their respective solutions.

Two years of data

Global Search returns transactions from the past two years only.

None.

No search mode selection

Global Search applies the match rule for each field automatically. You cannot restrict a search to complete-value matches only.

Use a column filter for a more precise match in one field.

Listed fields only

Global Search compares the search term only with the fields in Fields searchable by Global Search.

Use the filter for the column that contains the value.

Identifiers require the complete value

The OrderID, customer order number, payment token, session ID, customer ID, channel, phone numbers, and card BIN and last 4 digits do not match a partial value.

Use the complete value, or use the column filter for that field.

Phone number format

Phone numbers match only with the plus sign (+) and country code. A number without the country code does not match. No change to this behavior is planned.

Starts-with matching for some fields

The IP address and custom data fields match only from the start of the value.

Enter the beginning of the value.

Word-start matching for customer names

A search term that starts in the middle of a word in the customer name does not match.

Enter complete words or the start of a word.

Fuzzy matching for addresses only

Only the billing address and shipping address fields accept spelling differences.

Verify the spelling of the search term for other fields.

Similar address matches

Fuzzy matching can return addresses that are similar to, but not the same as, the search term. You cannot turn off fuzzy matching.

Enter the most distinctive word, or use the address column filter.

All words must match for an address match

In the address fields, a transaction matches only if every word that you enter matches. Additional words reduce the results.

Remove words that might be misspelled or are not in the address.

One value for each search

Search operators such as AND, OR, and NOT are not supported.

Run a separate search for each value.

No quotation marks or wildcard characters

Quotation marks do not group words. An asterisk (*) matches only an asterisk.

Enter the value, or the part of the value that the field supports.

Column filters combine with the search

Active column filters, including filters from a previous search, restrict the results.

Clear the column filters that you do not need.
