Global Search finds orders in Kount 360 from a single search term. Global Search compares your search term with every searchable field at the same time. A transaction is included in the results when at least one of its fields matches the search term.
Each field has its own match rule, which Global Search applies automatically. Some fields match only the complete value. Other fields match part of a value, and the address fields match words that are spelled differently.
Use Global Search when you have one data point, such as an email address, a payment token, or a customer name, and you want to find every transaction that contains it. To search one specific field instead, use the filter for that column in the results table.
Global Search is persistent in the navigation of Kount 360, so you can start a search from any page without first opening a specific table.
Global Search searches orders from the last two years. Global Search compares your search term with the following types of data:
-
Transaction identifiers, such as the OrderID, customer order number, payment token, session ID, customer ID, and channel
-
Contact data, such as the billing email, billing phone, and shipping phone
-
Card data, such as the Bank Identification Number (BIN) and last 4 digits
-
Customer and location data, such as the customer name, Internet Protocol (IP) address, billing address, and shipping address
-
Custom data fields that your organization adds to a transaction
For the complete list of fields and match rules, see Fields searchable by Global Search.
The flowchart shows the Global Search process from the search term to the results.
The Global Search process has the following stages:
-
You enter a search term and select Search. Global Search removes any spaces before and after the search term.
-
Global Search compares the search term with each searchable field by using the match rule for that field. Matching is not case-sensitive.
-
The results display according to the following:
-
A single result opens the transaction details page.
-
Two or more results open the results table where you can filter and sort the results.
-
If no transactions match, a message states that the search returned no results.
