If Global Search returns no results, or does not return a transaction that you expect, review the following causes and solutions.
A Global Search returns the no-results message, or the results do not include a transaction that you know exists.

You enter part of an identifier, such as part of an OrderID, customer order number, payment token, or phone number. |
Enter the complete value. Identifiers match only on the complete value. If you do not have the complete value, use the filter for that column. |
You entered a phone number without the plus sign (+) and country code. |
Enter the complete number, for example +12085551234 instead of 2085551234. |
One word in an address search term is spelled too differently from the address, or is not in the address. |
Every word must match. Remove or correct the word that does not match. Short words, 1-2 characters, must be spelled exactly. |
You left out a hyphen or other character that is part of an identifier. |
Enter the value exactly as it is stored, including hyphens, for example 100245-7788. |
You entered the middle or end of an IP address or custom data field value. |
Enter the start of the value. These fields match only from the start of the value. |
You entered part of a word from the middle of a customer name. |
Enter complete words or the start of a word, for example |
An address word is spelled too differently from the stored word. |
Correct the spelling, or enter a different part of the address. Short words accept few or no differences. See How fuzzy matching works for addresses. |
The search term contains a spelling error in a field other than an address. |
Correct the spelling. Only the address fields accept spelling differences. |
A column filter is active. |
Review the active column filters and clear the filters that you do not need. A filter from a previous search can hide matching transactions. |
The value is in a field that Global Search does not search. |
Use the filter for the column that contains the value. See Fields searchable by Global Search. |
The order is not a Payments Fraud transaction. |
Global Search returns Payments Fraud data only. Search Account Protection data from the Account Protection tables. |
You used quotation marks, wildcard characters, or search operators. |
Remove the quotation marks, wildcard characters, and operators. Run a separate search for each value. |
The BIN or last 4 digits are incomplete. |
Enter the complete BIN, the complete last 4 digits, or both in the format BIN-last4. See BIN and last 4 digits search syntax. |
The transaction is more than two years old. |
Global Search returns transactions from the past two years only. |
The Global Search box is blank. |
Enter a search term. A search term is required. |
